Singer and X Factor host Olly Murs has reportedly split from his girlfriend of three years, Francesca Thomas
It looks as though Olly Murs is back on the market after reportedly splitting from his girlfriend of three years.
The Sun reports that the Heart Skips A Beat singer has been left heartbroken after parting ways with property manager Francesca Thomas following a holiday last week.
Sources say that Olly’s career – which is going from strength to strength after the star was named co-host of The X Factor – played a part in the couple’s split.
An insider told the paper: ‘The split has just happened and it is very raw for Olly, he still feels numb.
‘He always worried that his relationship would struggle because he’d always put his career first.
‘Now, with X Factor and his singing on the go, that’s exactly what has happened.’
The source added that Olly was particularly upset because Francesca was ‘the first woman he planned a future with.’
The pair began dating in 2012 after meeting at V Festival.
The news comes just weeks after Olly mentioned Francesca in a magazine interview.
Speaking to Fabulous, the cheeky chappy revealed that his now-ex girlfriend wasn’t a fan of his newly buff body.
He told the magazine: ‘The missus doesn’t like six-packs, so she’s not a big fan. She misses the comfort belly, something to snuggle up to!’
We’d be perfectly happy to snuggle up to your rock-hard abs, Olly. Just saying.
Olly also recently revealed that he and X Factor co-host Caroline Flack decided not to date for the sake of their TV careers.
Quizzed about Caroline’s recent confession that she “nearly fancied” him, Olly said: ‘It all stems from a tweet she did in 2009, which she tweeted when I was on the show and auditioned, saying she fancied me and obviously then we started to work with each other.’
He continued: ‘And when we first worked with each other, we were both single so it was kind of like we were flirting, having a lot of fun and then we realised this should never happen, if we want to work together we can’t be doing this.’
