Despite a part in 90210, Olly Murs has his feet on the ground

The X Factor presenter Olly Murs has made his first moves at cracking the US – but he isn’t letting it go to his head just yet.

The Troublemaker singer, 28, has already had his first headline show in New York and won a part in hit TV show 90210.

But he says he has to be ‘realistic’ that success in America to rival that of One Direction or Adele may take time.

‘Troublemaker has sold 100,000 already and is number 34 in the iTunes chart,’ he says.

‘In the UK those sales would get you a number one record.

‘But you can’t put yourself up against One Direction or Adele and say: “I want that.”

‘I’m realistic that it’ll take time.’

Olly is unlikely to make a return to presenting The Xtra Factor, especially now he has a part in 90210.

‘I love acting,’ he tells The Daily Star.

‘My nan has it in her head that I’m going to be the next James Bond.

‘I keep trying to explain to her I’m not going to be a Hollywood actor.’
