Liam Payne vents he is '100% not homophobic' following Twitter backlash

In what we’re now calling #TheYearOfTheSexTape at NowHQ following quite possibly the biggest celebrity breech of privacy of ALL TIME, there has been a new – unlikely – victim.

One Direction‘s Liam Payne seemed to be the latest celebrity to fall prey to the 4Chan nude photo hacker after video screenshots surfaced online of the star apparently engaging in certain acts with another male.

Um, WHAAAT?!

But we’re happy to clarify that the video which features a boy that looks and sounds like Liam, unsurprisingly wasn’t Liam upon closer inspection – and the star took to Twitter to make sure you know this.

‘Wow as if people think that weird photo going around is actually me lol think id rather tweet a full frontal than have people look at that’ he tweeted.

We think we’d rather you shared a full frontal shot too, Liam.

As some of the stars’ 18 million followers then began accusing the One Direction stud of being homophobic following his offence at the gay images, Liam once again took to Twitter to defend himself.

‘I’m 100% not homophobic. But I’m also 100% not gay so when somebody says I am I’m gunna say I’m not which does not make me a homophobe’

Err, homophobic for stating you’re straight? That doesn’t quite make sense to us, either!

Does this mean if an openly gay person refers to themselves as gay, they then become hetrophobic? Sometimes the internet is a very confusing place to be.

This isn’t the first time Liam has been unexpectedly at the centre of a homophobic web witch hunt following previous seemingly harmless tweets.

In January the 21-year-old posted the following to Ducky Dynasty star Willie Robertson: ‘huge love to you/your family huge respect for your business prosperities and the family values you still all behold. big fan.’

With Liam‘s tweet coming just weeks after the American reality star had made a series of anti-gay remarks during an interview with GQ, it wan’t long before Liam had to bash out another 140-character Twitter defence.

‘Being a fan of someones show and the way they still hold a family together doesnt mean i am ok with all they say.’

We say, leave poor Liam Payne alone!
