The Dead or Alive star was found dead after a cardiac arrest

Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns has been found dead at the age of 57.

The sad news was reported on his official Twitter account on Monday (24th October), from his team, revealing that he had passed away on Sunday 23rd October after suffering a ‘massive cardiac arrest’:

‘It is with the greatest sadness that we have to break the tragic news that our beloved Pete Burns of (Dead Or Alive), died suddenly yesterday of a massive cardiac arrest.

‘All of his family and friends are devastated by the loss of our special star.

‘He was a true visionary, a beautiful talented soul, and he will be missed by all who loved and appreciated everything he was and all of the wonderful memories [he] has left [us] with.

‘We have no more words, we will make a further statement when we have had a chance to come to terms with our devastating loss.

‘He will live forever in our memories.’

The tragic news was signed off by ‘Lynne’, ‘Michael’ and ‘Steve’ – Lynne being his ex-wife, who he married in 1978.

Pete remained legally married to Lynne until 2006, despite having relationships with men at points during their relationship. In 2006, he entered a civil partnership with Michael Simpson, who he remained with until death.
