Peter Andre has hit back at James Jordan after James accused Strictly bosses of favouring the singer on the show

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional, James Jordan, had some apologising to do this morning after hinting that bosses of the show were favouring top scorer, Peter Andre.

After his wife, and Strictly partner of Iwan Thomas, Ola, was booted off the show this weekend, James was clearly not impressed.

The ex Celebrity Big Brother star took to Twitter to say: ‘I love Peter but I wonder if he will open or close every show? Fairness.’

Peter Andre is currently top of the leaderboard and one of the favourites to win the show. The 42 year-old has admitted that he has taken James’ comments with a ‘pinch of salt’ and has said he will never get caught up in any negativity.

Pete told Mirror TV: ‘I can understand why he was upset this morning, however, I’d like to point out that I didn’t get the highest score last week and I didn’t close the show either.’

‘So I sent him a message on Twitter today and I told him that I really like him and I’m gutted that Ola is out of the competition.’

‘And I said, I’m not perfect technically and I’m really grateful to be doing this. Then he privately messaged me back.’

James then apologised and urged Peter to not take the comments personally.

The dad-of-three added: ‘I think James was upset at the time. He was upset that Ola left so soon. I’m gutted too. She is such a great dancer and one of the nicest people I know.

‘I really feel for Iwan and Ola because what people don’t know is that he suffered an injury hours before performing.

‘He didn’t get off to the start he wanted and I feel sorry for him because of that.’

So even when confronted it seems like Pete can’t help but be Mr. Nice Guy. Maybe that’s one of the reasons the British public are backing him all the way to win Strictly this year!
