Kim Kardashian has a very simple beauty secret.
She constantly maintains gorgeous, glowing skin, but now the secret behind Kim Kardashian’s youthful complexion could finally be out!
It’s not avocados or olive oil and it’s certainly not oily fish or nuts.
Instead, the 34-year-old mum is a big fan of mushrooms – particularly Reishi mushrooms. Yup, those humble fungi species that are not only a fridge staple in many homes, they’re also super cheap and easy to find.
Ahh, so that’s how Kim K always looks so blimmin’ beautiful!
According to mushroom-expert company, Hifas de Terra, Kanye West’s wife loves the fungi food so much for it’s anti-ageing benefits.
Well, we’re definitely binning our pricey face-masks then – mushrooms all the way! Er, mushroom risotto anyone?
Mushrooms aren’t just good for the skin, they’re also good for de-stressing, supporting the liver and balancing energy levels.
Kim has previously spoken out about her love of the ‘shroom, admitting that she ‘loves using Japanese mushroom facial peels reishi mushrooms for making her skin more elastic.’
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star may have a fairly simple youth-hack but she still spends a small fortune on maintaining the rest of her appearance.
Earlier this year Kim revealed that the cost of the products she uses on a daily basis amounts to around £1291 and includes items such as resculpting body creams, LED light therapy and lashes.
We’re guessing Kim doesn’t spend a fortune on shampoo and conditioner though as she’s admitted to only washing her famous dark locks once every five days.
‘For my hair, I don’t wash it every day. We start out with a blowout on day one, then we go into a messier vibe the next day, and then we flat iron it and do a really sleek look on day three since that requires a little oil in the hair,’ revealed Kim, adding: ‘Day four could be a slicked-back ponytail and on the fifth day is when you wash it.’
Wow, and there’s us scrubbing at our tresses every morning.
Hifas da Terra has released a new range of organic mushrooms extracts available from Harrods and uk.hifasdaterra.com .
