Una Foden reveals why she was shocked when she found out her unborn baby's gender
Naww, this piece of happy news has definitely made our rainy Monday slightly more bearable.
Despite rugby player Ben’s intuition that the couple would be having a boy, Una, 33,has admitted that the news came as a huge shock.
‘I was convinced I was carrying a girl, mainly because this pregnancy is so similar to last time,’ she said. ‘I was actually a little bit taken aback when we found out we were going to have a son. But now I’m over the moon and can’t wait to meet our little boy.’
The excited parents, who already have a gorgeous two-year-old daughter, Aoife Belle, announced Una’s pregnancy back in September by posting a picture of their daughter wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the words: ‘I’m going to be a big sister!’
England rugby player, Ben, explained that daughter Aoife can’t wait for the tiny pitter-patter of feet.
‘Aoife knows something’s going on. Una shows Aoife her tummy and tells her there’s a baby in there and she kisses it,’ said Ben. ‘She sort of understands. She’s really good with other kids. I think she’s desperate to have a brother or sister to play with.’
Ben, 29, also revealed how proud he was of Una.
He said: ‘Una’s been great. Going on that big tour, performing every night on stage is a big ask for someone who is carrying a child so I couldn’t be prouder. She’s done really well so far.’
While the pair are thrilled to be expecting another baby, Una has previously revealed the body struggles she faced after giving birth.
‘I’m aware I’m getting a bit older and after having a baby I have to work harder. My abs were the hardest part to tone after pregnancy. My tummy felt like jelly for a while and it’s much more difficult to tone than it used to be,’ she admitted.
Una, we reckon you’ll always look gorgeous!
