Disgraced star found guilty on 12 counts of armed robbery
OJ Simpson has been jailed for 15 years for armed robbery, conspiracy to kidnap and assault.
The former American football star was arrested in September 2007 after breaking into the Palace Station Hotel And Casino in Las Vegas and stealing thousands of pounds worth of sports memorabilia.
OJ, 61, maintained he was only recovering items stolen from his trophy room, and denied holding two victims hostage with a gun.
But he was found guilty in October.
‘I’m sorry. I’m sorry for all of it,’ he said in court, reports Us Weekly. ‘I didn’t mean to hurt anybody and I didn’t mean to steal from anybody.’
He will be eligible for parole 2014.
The conviction comes 13 years after he was acquitted for the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her pal Ronald Goldman.
