The 85-year-old banged his head at home
Lord Richard Attenborough was rushed to hospital on Thursday after collapsing at his home in Richmond, Surrey.
The Oscar-winning actor reportedly fell into a coma after banging his head, but has now regained consciousness.
He’s recovering at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, London.
‘He’s still in hospital but there’s no cause for concern,’ his niece Susan tells the Sunday Mirror. ‘He had a fall and banged his head.
‘He’s 85 and falls hurt but he’s doing well and we hope he’ll be home in time for Christmas.’
Richard married actress Sheila Sim in 1945.
He is the older brother of TV wildlife presenter Sir David Attenborough.
