Revealed! The Strictly Come Dancing celebs have got their pro dancers. But who's got 'taskmaster' Brendan Cole?
Finally! Strictly Come Dancing 2014 has kicked off and we are LOVING the celeb pairings.
Here’s the complete line up:
Pixie Lott is dancing with new pro Trent Whiddon and says: ‘I’m excited, I can’t wait! We are going to have fun.’
Judy Murray is overjoyed at being partnered with Anton Du Beke, saying: ‘I’m absolutely delighted.’
Alison Hammond has got her hands on Aljaz Skorjanec (who was crowned champion with Abbey Clancy last year) and says: ‘I’m so excited!’
Sunetra Sarker will be waltzing with legendary taskmaster Brendan Cole and says: ‘We are both delighted – he’s been a great teacher already!’
Masterchef‘s Gregg Wallace said of being paired with Aliona Vilani: ‘I am very happy because I know what an amazing dancer she is! I am really chuffed, I’ve watched Aliona dance and she is amazing.’
Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills is thrilled to be dancing with new professional Joanne Clifton and says: ‘I secretly always wanted Joanne! We are very happy. We genuinely get on – I’m really looking forward to it!’
Tim Wonnacott and Natalie Lowe are teamed up, and Tim says: ‘Very, very, very happy. Thrilled. Who wouldn’t be?’
Mark Wright will be whipped into shape by Karen Hauer (who danced her way to the quarter-finals last year with Westlife hottie Nicky Byrne)and says: ‘I am absolutely buzzing! Every single morning we go in, Karen is always smiling – she’s so kind and I need someone who isn’t going to be too harsh, someone friendly and patient!’
Blue singer Simon Webbe will be doing salsa with Kristina Rihanoff – and can’t stop smiling, saying: ‘Come here, babe! We’re the happy couple.’
EastEnders‘ Jake Wood is getting in a spin with Janette Manrara and says:
‘I’m delighted with Jeanette. She’s a fantastic dancer and a no-nonsense American, which is what I was hoping for.’
And finally, animal expert Steve Backshall will be going wild with Ola Jordan – watch out James Jordan! Steve says: ‘I have a friend who’s a dancer and she said to me, “You want Ola because she’s a fantastic dancer and she can make anyone look good”. Meaning “even you”!’
