With the Strictly Come Dancing final looming Frankie Bridge explains why she hasn't been practising with husband Wayne Bridge
While Frankie, 25, has been nailing all the ballroom dances, her Latin moves aren’t quite up to scratch, according to the judges and Wayne, 34, has been trying to help her with her steps whenever she’s at home.
But mum-of-one Frankie has admitted she declined to call on her footballer hubby to help her improve because ‘he’s not quite got it down’.
‘Wayne always wants me to teach him a couple of steps when I get home. He loves it,’ she said. ‘He’s more of a Latin man – he likes a bit of hip action. Which is not my forte so I don’t know why he’s come to me for that one. But I can’t practise with Wayne unfortunately. He’s not quite got it down.’
Aww, well at least he’s trying – what a cutie.
Frankie has her eyes set on raising the Glitterball Trophy this weekend as she goes up against Mark Wright, Simon Webbe and Caroline Flack in the final.
‘I can’t lie – I have thought about how cool it would be to lift the Strictly Glitterball. But I don’t have any expectations. Everyone is so good,’ she admitted.
And by the sound of it, she’s not going to have too much time to relax following the show. ‘What I’d really love is to go on holiday with Wayne and Parker but I start rehearsals for the Strictly tour on January 5, so we’ve left it too last minute to book anything,’ she said.
‘I guess we won’t be able to go away till after the tour. I can’t wait to go somewhere hot and just chill on a beach.’
Wayne has been supporting Frankie throughout her Strictly journey – often sitting on the front row watching her perform or turning up at her rehearsals with their adorable one-year-old son, Parker.
Good luck, Frankie! We can’t wait to see what you have up your sequined sleeves!
