Taylor Swift seemed pretty chuffed with a hand-knitted jumper bearing a picture of herself that a fan gifted her at the weekend
It’s no secret that Taylor Swift‘s fans are a pretty dedicated bunch – and one of them just raised the game when it comes to making tributes for their favourite singer to a WHOLE new level.
The Wildest Dreams star took to Instagram following a show in Denver, Colorado, to share a snap of her latest fan gift: a hand-knited jumper bearing a picture of her own face on the front.
The picture shows Tay Tay wearing the peach-coloured knit (and on what appears to be a private jet – fancy!) whilst giving the thumbs up, in possibly the most meta moment in the pop star’s career.
The design featured on the front is a copy of one of the Polaroid picture that appears on Taylor’s latest album, 1989.
Alongside the snap, Taylor wrote: ‘Someone knitted this sweater for me of a Polaroid of myself and gave it to my mom tonight at the show. It has very quickly become my everything. Thank you, mysterious knitter.’
Move over, Calvin Harris – you’ve been replaced by a jumper!
Obviously, Taylor’s fans were quickly falling over themselves to claim responsibility for the impressive present, with comments including ‘It was me’ and ‘You’re welcome.’
Meanwhile, another fan simply commented on the creator of the incredible jumper’s mad knitting skills, commenting ‘Wow as a knitter I can tell you that was a lot of work! They are definitely an advanced knitter!’
And they’ve got a point – this took some serious dedication. The longest we’ve spent on a fan tribute was the half hour it took us to make a particularly glitter-glue-heavy t-shirt that we wore to a Take That concert back in 1993.
And so kudus to Taylor’s mystery knitter – whoever you are!
