Diver Tom married his long-term boyfriend on Saturday 6th May
Tom Daley‘s not only a success on the diving board, but a winner in the world of romance – as he and screenwriter love Dustin Lance Black tied the knot over the weekend.
The pair, who have been together since 2013, married in a luxury hotel in Devon’s Dartmoor National Park on Saturday (6th May), surrounded by family and friends.
Fans had worried whether Tom would be well enough to go through with the ceremony, due to his posting a picture from hospital just days beforehand – however, the Olympian pulled through, and has shared a gorgeous moment from his big day.
Tom, 22, took to Instagram on Monday (8th May) to share a photo of the moment that he and new husband Dustin, 42, took their first steps of married life, as their guests threw confetti:
‘On 6th May 2017, I married the love of my life, @dlanceblack We shared the day with 120 of our closest friends and family, from Texarkana to Plymouth! Thank you to everyone who made this weekend the most special weekend of our lives!’ Tom wrote as his heartfelt caption.
Including the info that their suits were provided by Burberry, and entertainment provided by the London Gay Men’s Chorus, it certainly seemed like an event not to be missed – and Tom even baked the wedding cake!
Academy Award winner Dustin also shared an image from their day on his Instagram account, showing them holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes.
‘So… what did you do this weekend?’ his casual caption read.
Of course, fans have flooded in with well wishes, with one in particular writing: ‘Congratulations!!! Y’all look so happy I wish you the best in your future together.’
And we completely agree – congratulations to the happy couple!
