It seems the new X Factor judging panel are getting along famously
In fact, it seems this years panel are closer than any in the shows 11 year history.
Chatting about the new additions, Cheryl told the Daily Star Sunday: ‘Nick and Simon are the new David and Simon. They’re like two big kids.’
Judging solely on how close Simon Cowell became to fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams once they started working together, we’re far too excited for this new bromance to hit our screens.
‘I think David needs to watch out,’ Cheryl continued. ‘Because Simon has a new boyfriend.’
Um, we’re sure Si’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman is happy to hear that!
Chatting about his newfound friendship also, Nick then added: ‘Me and Simon love each other.
‘I think we’ve upped it to a new level this week because we wound Cheryl up something rotten. I love her but she is so easy to wind up and she can’t help but react.
‘You can’t control Simon, he just wants to have fun and wind people up. Mainly Cheryl.’
Following a tough couple of weeks for the music mogul – who sadly lost his mother, Julie Brett, the day before auditions were due to start – inside sources have reported how Nick’s provided some much needed comic relief for the head of the show.
When the news broke about his mothers death at the start of July, Simon wrote on Twitter: ‘My family lost someone very special on Sunday. My Mum. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the kind messages received. Thank you. X’
