Josh and Kyle Brooks have hinted that not all is as it seems
The nation was rocked this weekend when it emerged that baby-faced twins Kyle and Josh Brooks would miss their debut performance The X Factor, following shocking abuse claims from Josh’s ex-girlfriend.
It has since been confirmed that they have been permanently axed from the competition, to the satisfaction of many viewers – now, the Brooks have broken their silence on the situation and seem to suggest that not all is as it seems.
Kyle and Josh, performing as Brooks Way, were due to take to the stage on Saturday night (8th October) as one of Louis Walsh‘s four groups. However, the Sun on Sunday revealed some upsetting quotes allegedly from Josh’s ex, Amelia Clark, that exposed him as being violent in their relationship with him breaking her nose on one occasion, resulting in show bosses stopping them from performing.
Though they were initially suspended during further investigations, it was upgraded to a full-on firing by Sunday’s show. Though having kept quiet during the investigations, Josh and Kyle took to their Twitter account on Sunday night:
‘Today, we have had a tough day with a false allegation. Don’t believe everything you read, both Amelia and Josh will be stating the truth,’ reads the first response on their social media, followed by the vague:
‘The truth always wins.’
Crikey. Some fans of Brooks Way have responded with their support, while others have decided to wash their hands of them for good.
