See how The Saturdays star and footballer's romance has blossomed

The Saturdays’ Frankie Sandford meets footballer Wayne Bridge through pal James Corden in December 2010.

‘I got their phone numbers and I put each other’s number in the phones and I said: “I want this to work,”‘ explains James.

By September 2011, Frankie is clearly already smitten with Wayne.

‘I hope we do get married in the future,’ she says.

‘My family wouldn’t be disappointed if I married him. He can’t do any wrong in the eyes of my friends and family – they absolutely love him!’

Our gallery sees the couple jet off on a romantic holiday in June 2012, where they both show off their super-hot toned bodies in swimwear.

They enjoy a settled life together, with Frankie sharing Instagram photos of a cosy night in, a meal with her family and Wayne’s 32nd birthday cake.

She supports Wayne in his football career before he retires in 2014.

‘Wayne scored and I was there to see this time!!!#proud,’
she writes on Twitter.

But things aren’t always easy for Frankie and Wayne.

Frankie checks into a hospital to be treated for depression in October 2011 after an incident with Wayne Bridge triggers her gloomy thoughts.

‘I got upset because Wayne hadn’t bought the right yogurts. I managed to convince myself that he didn’t know me at all,’ she explains.

‘It set off this spiral of negative thinking – if I disappeared it wouldn’t matter to anyone. In fact it would make everyone’s life easier.

The singer later thanks Wayne for being her rock.

Frankie and Wayne get engaged in April 2013 and welcome their son Parker that October, who they’re ‘absolutely besotted with’.

They marry at Bedfordshire’s Woburn Abbey in July 2014.
