See the on-off relationship between Prince William's little brother and his girl
Chelsy is a student at Cheltenham Ladies? College and Harry is on a two-year gap year after leaving Eton.
By 2005, Chelsy is getting used to the attention that comes with dating Prince Charles’s youngest son.
Prince William reveals that his brother is ‘madly in love’ and in a TV interview for his 21st birthday, Harry describes his girl as ‘very special’ and ‘amazing’.
The smitten couple often show their feelings for each other in public. At the Cartier International Polo in Windsor in late 2006, they’re snapped holding hands.
In April 2007, Harry and Chelsy kiss while watching England play Australia at the Cricket World Cup.
Three months later, they smooch during the Concert For Diana at Wembley Stadium.
Chelsy enrols in a postgraduate place at the University Of Leeds in 2007, reportedly so she can see more of her boyfriend.
But at the end of that year, Harry is secretly sent to fight the Taliban in Afghanistan.
When it’s leaked that he’s in war-ravaged Helmand province in February 2008, he’s immediately flown back to Britain. He sends Chelsy a £150 bouquet of flowers and a note saying: ‘Sorry, love HRH.’
It’s a nervous time for Chelsy when she meets the Queen for the first time in May 2008 at the wedding of Harry’s cousin Peter Phillips to Autumn Kelly.
Later in the year, she accompanies the royal to Prince Charles?s 60th birthday celebrations at Highgrove.
Harry and Chelsy briefly end things in January 2009. They manage to rekindle their relationship and she’s there to see him be awarded his Army flying wings in May 2010.
Sadly, they split again that September.
Despite their break-up, Chelsy is still invited to the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in April 2011.
