See how the singer's looks have developed

Tom Jones goes through quite a transformation after hitting the spotlight in the 1960s.

Then in his 20s, Welsh singer Tom has a rather manly appearance. As the first picture in our gallery shows, his dark curly locks are cropped close to his head in 1960.

Keeping up with fashion, Tom soon grows out his hair into various longer styles and rocks some serious statement sideburns.

He admits to having a nose job and in 1972 shows off his bump-free schnozzle by happily posing side-on. He also displays a slight five-o’clock shadow.

Tom experiments with facial fuzz a few times over the course of his career.

In 1975, he’s barely recognisable with a bushy beard. He keeps his face clean-shaven for the next few decades but steps out with a neat goatee in the 00s.

As an older man, it seems he likes this look as he’s still rocking it when he appears as a coach on the fourth series of reality show The Voice in 2015.

In 2005, a few speckles of grey can be seen in his moustache. However, he doesn’t fully embrace this colour until the late 00s.

He’s previously admitted to using dye, saying in 2006: ‘I’d be as white as Father Christmas otherwise.’

Throughout the late 80s and early 90s, a few lines can be seen developing on Tom’s forehead and around his eyes. However, he’s looking suspiciously youthful by 2002.

In 2006, he reveals that he’s tried cosmetic procedures and has actually been warned off having more by his doctor.

‘I went to see a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills and he said: “You’ve got to be careful with your lower eyes.” He told me: “Your eyes will be bloody popping,'” says Tom.

However, he can’t promise he’ll stay natural. He goes on to say: ‘It depends on what I think needs doing.’
