From TOWIE to Britain’s Got Talent, we reveal the stars who’ve made a pretty penny from finding fame and success on the small screen

There are plenty of celebrities who’ve done very well out of being on reality TV.

Stars who’ve made their names on shows including MasterChef, The X Factor, Survivor and Britain’s Got Talent are now raking in millions

Some famous names who were already in the limelight have had their earnings boosted by appearing on reality TV, including I’m A Celebrity’s Peter Andre, Kerry Katona and Katie Price.

It’s easy to forget that Girls Aloud came to fame on 2002’s Popstars: The Rivals, but all five members are now in our Top 50 rich list.

Let’s also be reminded that Abbey Clancy started off her showbiz life competing on Britain’s Next Top Model and Ben Foden won viewers’ hearts on 2000’s Castaway.

Singers to have risen to fame thanks to reality TV include JLS, Lee Mead, Will Young, Jedward, Cher Lloyd, Olly Murs, Lemar, Diana Vickers, Darius Campbell and Paul Potts.

In 2000, Popstars brought Kym Marsh, Myleene Klass and Suzanne Shaw together in band Hear’Say. Despite the group not lasting, they’re in our rich list because they’ve all gone on to new money-making ventures.

Liberty X’s Michelle Heaton – who appeared on the show alongside them – also makes it onto our rich list.

The Made In Chelsea cast are helped by the fact that they were pretty loaded before making their reality TV debuts. But it’s still impressive that 20-somethings Francis Boulle, Spencer Matthews, Caggie Dunlop, Hugo Taylor and Amber Atherton have such big net worths.

Big Brother has its fair share of minted alumni – Imogen Thomas, Samanda, Nick Bateman, Brian Dowling and Craig Phillips are a few of them.

Chantelle Houghton is only in the limelight now thanks to being the first ever non-celeb to win Celebrity Big Brother in 2006.
