The contestants get new superstar looks...

After making it through to the series 7 live X Factor shows, the contestants are treated to a makeover.

The talent show hopefuls are almost unrecognisable following their transformation by The X Factor glam squad.

Rebecca Ferguson favours a scraped-back curly ponytail and minimal make-up when she first auditions for the programme.

But after a spot of pampering, the qualified legal secretary has real star quality with long sleek locks and a flawless complexion.

Also upping the glamour this year is feisty Cheryl Cole lookalike Cher Lloyd.

Cher – who has clearly always loved experimenting with beauty products – trades in her falsies for a bold red lip.

Now rocking a sultry new bob cut with blunt bangs, there’s no denying that Mary Byrne is ready for her live X Factor performances.

When they’re first put into a band by Simon Cowell, One Direction – who auditioned for the show as solo acts – all have different styles of dress.

But after a hot haircut and a quick outfit change, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson look like they’ve been making music together for years.

We’re confident the handsome lads are going to be even more popular with the girls now…

It’s likely viewers will do a double take when they see Storm Lee step out on stage for his first live X Factor set.

His bright blond mane has been swapped for a striking fiery red new shade.

And Matt Cardle’s gone from scruff to seriously sexy, while Belle Amie look ready to storm the charts.

Keen reading to see Aiden Grimshaw, Nicolo Festa, FYD, John Adeleye and Katie Waissel’s dramatic transformations.
