From red carpet to afterparty cocktails, check out what the celebs got up to behind the scenes at the Emmys
The Emmys 2014 kicked off in suitable style in Los Angeles on Monday night. Yes yes, the red carpet pictures were just SO glamorous… Did you see the best dressed stars? January Jones wore Prabul Gurung! Halle Berry wore Elie Saab!
So far, so chic.
Cripes, they all got gifted £50k goodie bags too! (NB said bags included a holiday to Bali, and, erm, a mattress. Yes, really)
‘Twas a glamorous affair all round, but you know what the best part of an awards ceremony is?
Those Instagram shots taken behind the scenes – be it sinking cocktails in the back of a cab, doing the Stride of Pride barefoot or (Now‘s favourite) when celebs take selfies under the Golden Arches of a McDonald’s Drive-Thru. Brilliant.
Kelly Osbourne, Kaley Cuoco, Lena Dunham – they were ALL at it, proving that they can look ever so glam on the Emmys 2014 red carpet – but IRL (In Real Life) they’re peoples, just like the rest of us!
Lena Dunham, 28, shared a snap of her and her Girls co-star Allison Williams writing: ‘Smashed so happily into our @giambattistapr
Lena went on to pull her best Carrie Bradshaw impression – by face planting her bed, still wearing her Giambattista Valli frothy tulle dress.
Sex And The City eat your heart out, er, Girls-friend. Lena captioned the picture, writing: ‘Thank you @giambattistapr for the dress of my #dreams’
Cat Deeley, 37,followed suit (we wonder if SJP knows how many celeb fans she has!?) Instagramming a picture of herself holding a cocktail, and captioning it: ‘SJP would be proud xxx’ We’re assuming that’s a Cosmopolitan in your glass then, right Cat?
The Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco, 28, proved that she too IS A HUMAN! JUST LIKE US! by tucking into a McDonald’s burger n’ fries on her way to walking the Emmys 2014 red carpet. Noice one Kels.
Do take a look at the best dressed celebrities at the Emmy Awards 2014 by all means, but can we all just take a moment to thank those stars who – despite their bagillion dollar gowns – made it all feel a bit more, well, real via Instagram (with the help of a burger or two).
