Mary Berry proves it's nifty to be thrify - plus other celebrities who have recycled their dresses at events
Mary Berry is fast becoming one of our new favourite style icons and last night she stunned onlookers by stepping out on the red carpet at The Pride Of Britain Awards in a gorgeous floor length blue lace dress.
We looked on in admiration, but then suddenly got a rush of deja vu and thought, ‘Hold up Berry, you’ve worn that before!’ And it wasn’t that long ago either, she wore it a few weeks ago to the TV Choice Awards with the exact same silver short necklace.
Now we’re not sure if this was a complete fashion faux pas, or simply a thrifty style recycle, but she isn’t the only celeb to be partial to a economical repeat.
Kate Middleton loves re-wearing her wardrobe and we completely love her for that, she’s been spotted in the same outfit more times than we can remember, especially in her blue Stella McCartney shift dress that she wore to Hampden Park for the Commonwealth Games and also on her tour of Australia with Prince Wills and cutie pie Prince George.
Michelle Keegan recently donned her favourite LBD on the red carpet at the TV Choice Awards and also the year before, when she appeared on the Jonathan Ross show.
Supermodel Elle Macpherson has also done a fashion 360, by wearing her black figure-hugging wrap dress on the red carpet in 2008 and then again in 2011. Three years on and still rocking the same frock? Good work Elle!
We actually love that the celebs are giving their pricey fashion items a second showing, it not only shows that they are a little bit normal, but makes us not feel so bad about yanking out that same Topshop number to the work Christmas party, yet again this year.
Well if it works for you, then why ever not!
