Kate Middleton chooses a very special frock for first family photograph with Prince William and their son

Kate Middleton was every inch the polka-dot princess in London on Tuesday evening as she and Prince William showed off the Royal baby (squeal!).

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a bespoke cornflower blue Jenny Packham dotty dress as she and Prince William left St Mary’s hospital in Paddington.

Kate wore her longer-length hair in loose, natural waves and in a word, the Duchess looked stunning.

Kate‘s dress was reminiscent of the polka-dot frock that Princess Diana wore when leaving the very same hospital with baby Prince William on 22 June, 1982.

US star Khloe Kardashian quickly took to Instagram to point out the similarity, writing: ‘How phenomenal is this picture! Awww #PolkaDotPerfection #RoyalBaby.’

There’s no question that Kate looked radiant and her dress – were it not bespoke – would undoubtedly have sold out by now.

But did she steal the limelight from the couple’s new born son – and the third in line to the throne?

Not quite, but nearly. What a family photo. In the words of Khloe Kardashian: Awww’.
