Queen Cara Delevingne gets a thumbs up from us!
She’s fresh from the catwalks at London Fashion Week and has just landed campaigns with everyone from Topshop to DKNY.
But it turns out Cara Delevingne ain’t just a pretty face, as the supermodel is set to show off her acting skills in her latest movie The Face of an Angel, based on the real life Amanda Knox murder trial.
Set in Italy, Cara plays a British student called Melanie in the film, and befriends a crew of journalists and filmmakers, including Simone Ford (Kate Beckinsale) as they cover the appeal of a murder conviction of an American student.
This isn’t the first time we’ve had a taste of Cara’s acting skills. The Burberry model appeared in Sky’s show Playhouse Presents: Timeless, with her co star the Hollywood screen-legend Sylvia Syms describing her as having the same on screen charm as Audrey Hepburn. That’s some accolade!
But is Cara’s latest acting gig any good, we hear you cry!
Now’s Scarlett Russell, who has seen the film, thinks so:
‘Cara is a bit of a party girl in the film. Her character is really likeable – she plays a student who works part time at a bar, loves literature and is very intelligent but seriously cool.
‘She becomes very close to the main character played by Daniel Bruhl and always helps him and tries to save him. There’s all this sexual tension and you’re waiting for something to happen – I’m not giving it away though!
‘Cara has a significant part in the movie and should definitely do more acting; in fact I thought she was the best bit about the film so she’s definitely proved herself.’
Well, after taking home the gong for Best Breakthrough actress at the ELLE Style Awards last month, we’re expecting big things for Miss Delevingne. Just don’t give up the modelling day job, eh Cara? We’ll miss you on the runways too much!
The Face Of An Angel is released nationwide by Soda Pictures on 27th March 2015
