We've been kept in the dark for so long and finally we're back in the Harry Potter wizarding world
OMG it’s been four years since Harry Potter last casts its spell on us and finally – FINALLY – the trailer for the new film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has dropped!
The movie, written by Queen JK Rowling herself, follows the adventures of English magizoologist and wizard Newt Scamander (played by Oscar winner and quite hot Eddie Redmayne) in New York seventy years before the events of the main series.
Poor Newt travels to America with a suitcase full of fantastic beasts and a head full of dreams, but America does not like wizards and witches quite like the UK. The magical community lives in fear of persecution from the ‘No-Maj’ – that’s muggle to you and us.
Sad times for Newt then, as a very scared narrator tells us that all the beasts are loose. Cue Eddie running around, casting spells, looking awesome in a bumbling British kind of way.
What sort of mystical beasts are in that suitcase of his? Pixies? Boggart? Hippogriffs? A BASLISK?!
As Potterheads who didn’t have the necessary magical powers to get tickets for the play sequel Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, this is the most exciting movie news since the announcement of the first film! We’ve finally got an excuse to expelliarmus random people in the street.
