It came to light In February there was an equine being that bore an uncanny resemblance to Ellie. The horse had great hair and everything – without the aid of Pantene. Ellie, 30, saw the story and tweeted: ‘FML’. There are worse things to look like, El. It’s a very pretty horse.
Michelle Keegan fell down a toilet
Beware the perils lurking in everyday items – fixtures and fittings can wreak havoc. Like they did for Michelle Keegan, 29, when she found herself in a loo. ‘Just fell down the toilet! Shout out to the guy who left the toilet seat up! #cheers’, she tweeted back in January. Thankfully, Michelle lived to tell the tale. Hashtag phew.
Gemma Collins loved words
TOWIE’s big-haired alpha female Gemma Collins took herself off to Sky News in October to talk about the term ‘Essex Girl’ being removed from the dictionary. Gemma, 35, said she was ‘a massive fan’ of the wordy work, adding: ‘The dictionary should be paying everyone in Essex compensation.’ Don’t wait for that dollar to come rolling in, Gems – it might be some time.

Lauren Goodger became addicted to Pop-Tarts
Just when you thought the brilliance of Vanessa Feltz’s custard habit couldn’t be surpassed, Lauren Goodger, 30, came along in August and confessed to a deep, dark love for the convenience pastries. ‘I’m addicted to Pop-Tarts,’ she admitted, blaming them for her weight gain after losing 4st.
Jamie Donan became a bus
In Belfast, the powers-that be put local legend and perennial hottie Jamie Dornan, 34, on the side of a bus in June, which is the pinnacle of anyone’s career TBQH. We all watched a puddle Over 50,000 of us watched a livestream of a puddle in Newcastle in January – people bravely circumnavigating

Ed Sheeran bought a pig version of himself
Buying a statue of your own likeness is fairly narcissistic, but not when a) it’s of a pig and b) it’s for charity. Ed Sheeran, 25, splashed out £6,200 at auction in September for a statue nicknamed Ed Sheer-ham, with the money going to St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich.
Ferne McCann experienced cauliflower panic
During a discussion on Loose Women in August about stockpiling groceries in the event of an ISIS attack, Ferne McCann, 26, admitted to panic buying cauliflowers. ‘I went to four stores and there was a shortage. I went into absolute panic and went to my mum: “Pick up 10, you never know,”’ she said.
Louise Redknapp came to the rescue
Louise Redknapp is more than just a pop singer turned Strictly star. Turns out she’s a selfless, strong woman who’d do anything for others. In October, it was revealed that Louise, 42, came to the rescue of a lady in the Wirral.
A commenter on a newspaper website said: ‘She once pulled my wife out of a chest freezer in a local supermarket after she’d fallen in while overreaching. She’s very down to earth and lovely apparently.’ Who knew?
