Actor Charlie is too busy with his TV work

Charlie Hunnam won’t be showing off his bod after all in risqué sex scenes for the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey.

Charlie was cast in the lead role last month but now says he’s too busy to play damaged billionaire Christian Gray, which will be a great relief to the fans of the book who didn’t think he was sexy enough for the part.

Movie company Universal says: ‘The filmmakers of Fifty Shades Of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam‘s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.’

Robert Pattinson is now tipped as favourite to step into Charlie‘s shoes.

Author EL James started Fifty Shades Of Grey as Twilight fan fiction so undoubtedly had Rob in mind as she penned her erotic novel, which has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide.

Melanie Griffith‘s daughter Dakota Johnson, 23, will star as Anastasia Steele, the student who’s asked to sign a contract of dominance and submission by troubled Christian.

Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, the erotic film is now due for release in 2014.
