Jamie Dornan has admitted that he never intending becoming a model.

The Irish star, who will play Christian Grey in the highly-anticipated Fifty Shades Of Grey movie, had a lucrative career before finding success as an actor and modelled for the likes of Calvin Klein and Dior.

But modest Jamie doesn’t think he was ever that good-looking compared to others in the industry.

It was a fluke,’ says Jamie, 31.

I’m not the best-looking guy who was doing that job. I just got lucky.’

Jamie was spotted by a modelling agency and ended up on the catwalk, even though he’d always planned to go to drama school.

I knew I wanted to act and was always trying to find my way into it,’ the sexy actor tells The Sun.

But there were always other distractions. I was still involved in modelling contracts and still mucking around trying to be in a band.

I always knew I wanted to purely be an actor though.’
