Their first couple's holiday didn't quite go without a hitch
When you’re a famous person in the fledgling stages of romance, it must be difficult enough to keep the fire burning without shocking rumours emerging. In that case, spare a thought for Aaron Chalmers and Lauren Pope – after confirming their romance at the end of 2016, they’ve already been hit with some serious whispers of a split after their first couple’s holiday!
However, Geordie Shore star Aaron has now come forward denied accusations that he SPAT at the former TOWIE star in a moment of rage, waving them off as ‘absolute bullsh*t’.
Fans of the relationship were upset when it was reported that Aaron, 29, and 33-year-old Lauren had called time on their love affair after a trip to Dubai. Sources told The Mirror that the Newcastle-bred reality star ‘Drank too much, spat expensive food at Lauren, called her a c**t and trashed their hotel room.’ Delightful.
It was said that after intitially patching things up, DJ and entrepreneur Lauren realised their romance was over and ended it.
The newspaper’s source went on to claim that Aaron started boozing the second they got on the plane, and wouldn’t stop. Yikes!
However, the Geordie Shore star – and former lover of Marnie Simpson – took to Twitter to dispel the story of their food fight. Responding to a fan speaking to Lauren about Aaron spitting food on her, he responded:
‘We both just speaking about this it’s all absolute bullsh*t!! I’d never ever do that’
Good to hear! However, it still seems as if their relationship status is on the outs, as though there was no spitting, they’re still said to have separated due to more logistical difficulties.
‘There were a few ups and downs on the holiday just like anyone other couple going away for the first time,’ an insider confirmed to OK!
‘However the reason they have split is due to work commitments and distance. Lauren and Aaron are still on good terms and speak regularly.’
As of yet, Lauren has refrained from commenting on the situation. Going forward, we hope that all’s well with them, and that at the very least, all food stays firmly Aaron’s mouth.
