The super-fit star's working out every day to keep her size 8 body in shape
Alexandra Burke‘s got thighs that could crack walnuts and abs you could grate cheese on – so you can understand why the glamazon was happy to flaunt her super-toned body in Miami last week.
Insiders tell Now her secret to maintaining her stunning size 8 figure is eating a whopping nine meals a day.
Grazing on small portions to keep her weight at a steady 8st 2lb, Alex, 22, makes sure she never goes more than a couple of hours without eating so that her metabolism is working in overdrive.
‘She’s had her weight battles in the past, but she’s found a diet and exercise programme that works for her,’ a source close to the 2008 X Factor winner tells Now.
‘She’s in a great place right now – her body’s amazing and her confidence is high.’
Forced to squeeze into size 14 dresses when she was at her heaviest in 2008, Alex, who’s 5ft 4in, is also working out seven days a week, using a strength-building exercise regime.
‘Alexandra‘s a fan of body conditioning,’ reveals our source. ‘She does sit-ups, press-ups, tricep dips and squats to make sure she stays toned. She also uses kettlebells for resistance and cardio.’
