Britain’s Got Talent judge thinks she should relax

Amanda Holden says Susan Boyle‘s loss on Britain’s Got Talent wasn’t necessarily a bad thing.

The singer checked into The Priory for exhaustion after being beaten by Diversity in the final.

‘She has gone from a woman that nobody knew to worldwide fame,’ says Amanda, 38.

‘For anybody in the business to handle that kind of stress is an enormous amount of pressure. I think she probably just crumbled under it.

‘She will just need some time to recuperate. It’s probably a blessing she didn’t win as it takes off some of the pressure. Perhaps now she can relax.’

Amanda has also rubbished claims the producers were to blame.

‘Every possible box was ticked before she went on the show,’ she tells US programme The Early Show.

‘But I don’t think there’s anything that can prepare anybody, even the producers of the show, for the phenomenon that is Susan Boyle, it was an incredible experience.’
