Johannah tragically passed away last week following a battle with leukaemia
Louis Tomlinson fans around the world pulled together to support the star following the news of his mum’s tragic death last week.
And it sounds like Johannah Deakin – who passed away aged 43 following a battle with leukaemia – knew that the loyal One Direction fanbase would be on hand to look out for her family through the difficult times.
A message for Directioners that the late mum-of-seven had wanted to give them has been shared by her husband Dan on Twitter in which she thanks them for always being there.
‘Hi, it’s Dan. Johannah asked for me to send this afterwards,’ Dan posted on Tuesday night. ‘She wanted to thank you all, and to let you know that you have been amazing right from the start.
‘You changed Louis’ life, but also her life. Your support now is as strong if not stronger than ever.
‘So from Johannah one last time, thank you for everything xxx’
The poignant message sparked an emotional reaction from fans, with one commenting: ‘the fact that she thought of us even in her darkest days really makes me cry, she was a wonderful mother and woman’
Another wrote: ‘No @JohannahDarling thank you for all the things you’ve done. We will always love you.’
Johannah was hugely popular with many 1D fans and often interacted with them on social media.
It comes after Louis, 24, bravely performed his debut solo single on Saturday night’s edition of The X Factor just four days after his mum’s death.
The singer admitted afterwards that it had proved tougher than he’d expected but the support of his loving fans had helped him through.
‘That was harder than I ever imagined,’ he Tweeted about his rendition of Just Hold On. ‘I want to thank everyone around me and all of the amazing fans out there that made that so special!
‘Feeling so much love around me and my family . Mum would have been so f***ing proud ( sorry for swearing mum) love you !’
