Singer desperate to attend the Grammys on 10 Feb
Amy Winehouse visited the US embassy yesterday to renew her American visa.
She left rehab to keep the appointment because she still wants to travel to the Grammys in LA on 10 February.
‘Amy is desperate to go,’ a source tells Us Weekly.
‘[She] has been told she can go on the condition that she has a minder there and returns to rehab when back in the UK.’
The star is up for Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist, Best Female Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.
The 24-year-old checked into London’s Capio Nightingale clinic on the 24 January after a Sunday newspaper released a video of her appearing to smoke crack.
But despite a turbulent 12 months, Amy could make a fortune out of her troubles. She’s said to have been offered £5 million to write her autobiography.
