'It was never the same without Paul,' Hannah Spearritt gushed as S Club 7 announced they're heading out on the road again
Don’t you know it’s true what they say, there really ain’t no party like an S Club party. Even on a Monday morning.
Which we discovered as we headed out to London’s swanky Ham Yard Hotel for a morning of singing and selfies with S Club 7.
Please note: The only singing was coming from a group of overly excited journalists as the bands greatest hits played on a loop during the Q&A.
Following their performance on Children In Need on Friday, Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt, Bradley McIntosh, and Jon Lee have come together once more to unveil their plans to hit the road for the first time since 2003 – with a grand old reunion tour set to sweep the country next year.
And it seems it might not just be the band reuniting, but Hannah and Paul could be heading for a romantic reunion of their own too.
‘It was never the same without Paul,’ Hannah gushed at the event.
Paul went on to reveal: ‘It’s great to be together again – not just working, but hanging out and sharing the stage.’
There’s no denying the pair were one of the all-time ultimate pop power couples (Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez who?) – but for Paul in particular, it didn’t quite end so well.
You could even say following their split in 2006 he’d Never Had A Dream Come True as his world came crashing down around him.
Following Paul‘s unexpected departure from the band in 2002, he and Hannah remained strong until 2006 when the pop perfect pair announced their split, leaving many fans in disbelief.
But when Hannah was quickly then linked to Primeval co-star Andrew-Lee Potts who she went on to date for seven years – it seemed poor Paul had to Say Goodbye and lose his girl for good.
With Hannah splitting from Andrew last year to go their separate ways and Paul failing to be romantically linked to anyone in the spotlight since the split – many fans are now hoping this is the time for the pair to realise they’re destined for each other.
And for the sake of our childhood, here’s to hoping Paul‘s still up for ‘getting down on the floor’ while Hannah‘s ‘screaming out for more’.
PS: Apologies for the sheer amount of S Club 7 song title puns in this article. We’re far too excited.
