William wants George to follow family tradition

Prince William admits that trying to bathe baby Prince George is quite a difficult task.

The doting dad, who welcomed George with wife Kate Middleton nearly one year ago, opened up about his son’s cheeky antics at a scuba diving event in London yesterday.

For the moment bath time is quite painful,’ William, 32, said in a speech at the Oasis Sports Centre near Covent Garden.

But I imagine as he gets a little bit older, donning a mask and snorkel might calm him down.’

Wills got kitted out in a wetsuit and dived underwater to celebrate his new role as president of the British Sub-Aqua Club, a position previously held by his dad Prince Charles.

As he’s carrying on the family tradition Wills would love to see George take an interest in diving when he’s older too.

It’s a great honour to be here with my father and accept the presidency of the British Sub-Aqua Club, continuing that from my grandfather as well,’ Wills told guests and BSAC members.

I hope that one day my son George might follow in our footsteps.’
