William thinks his son will soon outrun him
The doting dad, who welcomed his son with wife Kate Middleton nearly one year ago, told well-wishers at an event in Coventry yesterday that the tot is always on the move.
We asked him straight away about the baby and he said it’s his birthday next week,’ says 74-year-old Mavis Jarvis, who travelled from Leicester with her sister to see Wills.
He said George is charging around and opens doors. He said he’s lovely.’
Wills, 32, launched the Centenary Fields Project at the city’s War Memorial Park and started a race between local school children as part of the festivities.
But the Prince told Earlsdon Primary School’s head teacher Gill Naylor: I think George will be running faster than me very soon.’
Wills, who was given lots of gifts for George ahead of his 1st birthday on 22 July, seemed very popular with everyone at the event.
He was lovely with the children,’ Gill tells People.
Really friendly and charming.’
Wills also showed that he’s in touch with current trends by wearing a colourful turquoise and black loom band.
