And fans are LOVING her cute name!
Congrats are in order for Shayne Ward and Sophie Austin after the couple welcomed their first child – and they’ve called her the CUTEST name!
Coronation Street star Shayne confirmed the arrival of daughter Willow May Ward (told you it was cute!) via Twitter on Saturday.
Tagging former Hollyoaks actress Sophie in the tweet, he wrote: ‘Proud to share our incredible news. Me and Sophie had a beautiful baby girl.
‘We are completely besotted and in love with the deepest of hearts. Our world. Willow May Ward.’
And Shayne threw himself straight into nappy-changing duties on Sunday morning, tweeting: ‘Thank you all so much for the beautiful messages. Mummy & baby are doing great ❤️ Right… Time to do my fatherly duties #diaperchangeking 👶 👑’
Shayne’s Corrie co-stars joined fans in congratulating the couple of their bundle of joy.
Lisa George, who plays Beth Tinker in the ITV soap, tweeted: ‘I am over the moon for you both! You will be amazing parents! Welcome to the world Willow.’
Jane Danson – AKA Leanne Battersby – added: ‘Massive congratulations – welcome to parenthood – it’s the best.’
Meanwhile, fans tweeted their approval of little Willow’s name, with one writing: ‘Wow beautiful name beautiful family congrats to the proud mammy and daddy.’
Another posted: ‘Aww congratulations 🙂 love the name Willow xx’
Former X Factor champ Shayne, 32, and girlfriend Sophie, also 32, had only been dating five months when they announced they were expecting their first child back in August.
Their relationship was revealed in March this year after Sophie split from her husband Graeme Rooney after just eight months of marriage.
Shayne confirmed the happy news in a tweet, writing: ‘After much speculation I’m overjoyed to announce that @sophieaustin1 and I are expecting our first child #blessed.’
The couple’s happy arrival will no doubt help Shayne forget about the nasty business of a sex tape featuring him emerging online recently.
The video footage, which showed him pleasuring himself whilst chatting to a woman online, appeared on Twitter in October. The video was said to have appeared on the now-deleted CelebrityBusted Twitter account, with grabs of the video and GIFs continuing to circulate online.
At the time, a source told The Sun Online: ‘This video is years old. Shayne was single at the time and it happened when he was on tour with War of the Worlds.
‘He can’t believe anyone would do this. He thought it was a private chat and a one-off and only realised he had been catfished after the video emerged today.”
