What a tribute! Howard Donald names son after David Bowie, who died last week

Following the sad passing of rock legend David Bowie on Sunday, millions of fans, famous and otherwise, have made a point of publicly celebrating his life.

However, Take That‘s Howard Donald may have just taken the crown for best tribute yet – by naming his first son after him!

Howard, 47, and wife Katie Halil welcomed Bowie Taylan Donald to the world on Tuesday 12th January, and Howard tweeted his happy news on Friday afternoon Рan adorable message about his little one:

Fans of the man-band member were quick to congratulate him and Katie for their new arrival, while showing appreciation for the choice of name.

Howard also has two daughters, Grace (born 1999) and Lola (born 2005), from previous relationships.

The day before baby Bowie’s birth, news of the 69-year-old rockstar travelled around the world and Howard was one of many to express his sadness:

A clear fan, Howard reminisced on the time he met David Bowie during a recording of Top of the Pops. And now, he’s turned this ‘great loss’ into something truly lovely.
