Singer is expecting her first child
Lily Allen has confirmed she’s three months pregnant.
The singer and boyfriend Sam Cooper are overjoyed at the news.
‘It brings me great pleasure to tell you that Sam and I are expecting our first child,’ says Lily.
The 25-year-old has previously spoken of her desire to start a family, saying she and Sam would try for a baby after her summer music commitments were out the way.
‘It goes without saying that we are both absolutely delighted,’ she says.
Lily was left heartbroken when she suffered a miscarriage in January 2008 and subsequently split with the baby‘s father Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons.
It seems now the mum-to-be has finally found happiness with businessman Sam, 32, saying he’s the love of her life.
‘Sam treats me differently. He’s told me he’ll look after me forever,’ Lily tells The Sun.
‘We’ve never had one argument and there’s absolutely nothing about him that annoys me.’
There’s been much speculation about whether Lily had a little secret after she cancelled her appearance at the Benicassim festival in Spain and left Glastonbury early despite being due to perform with Professor Green.
