Sherlock star's mother wants him to settle down
Benedict Cumberbatch‘s mum is getting impatient.
Former actress Wanda Ventham has admitted that she wants her heartthrob son to settle down and give her some grandchildren as soon as possible.
‘Can you just…find him a bird?’ Wanda, 77, asks Caitlin Moran in The Times Magazine.
‘You must be able to find him a bird. There must be someone in London who’s suitable. I want grandchildren. Please – find my son a bird!
‘I can’t wait much longer. Get a bird.’
There will undoubtedly be lots of willing volunteers from Benedict’s fan army of Cumberbitches.
Wanda’s not the only one wanting the Sherlock star to start a family – Benedict is keen to have children, but only with the perfect woman.
‘I’ve been broody since I was 12, but I can’t just get anyone pregnant, it has got to be the right person,’ Benedict, 36, told the Telegraph Magazine last year.
‘I mean there are always moments and meetings and chance encounters. But to make meaningful relationships is very hard at the moment.’
