Which one of these stars will be stepping into Cilla Black’s shoes?

Get ready for a lorra lorra laughs, people – Blind Date is officially making a comeback!

Yep, the legendary dating show is being revived 14 years after it was last on air and will hit our screens for a brand new series later this year.

Vicky Pattison hits back at troll over cruel ‘bullying’ comments

The programme was famously fronted by the late Cilla Black and there are several big names in the frame to step into her shoes – but which one will make the cut?

Vicky Pattison is said to be one of those in the running, having had presenting stints on shows including I’m A Celebrity spin-off Extra Camp and Strip Date.

She’s up against some other reality stars-turned-presenters though – Olly Murs, who found fame on The X Factor, is also being considered according to reports.

Others who could possibly take over from Cilla include Coronation Street actresses past and present Georgia May Foote and Helen Flanagan.

The series will be produced by So Television, who also make The Graham Norton Show, and will be aired on Channel 5 on Friday nights.

‘Blind Date is the original dating show and it’s huge news to bring it back,’ a source says.

‘It’s a classic format that will be rebooted to make it young, sexy and modern.’

In case you weren’t around in the show’s 90s heyday, Blind Date sees three singletons being questioned by a contestant who’s looking for love.

Said contestant then picks one of the potential dates based solely on their answers and only then gets to see what they look like.

The pair then see if sparks fly by going on a holiday together – and more often than not it sadly doesn’t really work out. *sigh*

However, the show did result in three marriages back in the day so there’s every chance that this new revival could create some promising romances.

‘Expect sparks to fly,’ the insider tells The Sun. ‘In an age of Tinder, you have got to earn the right to love on this show.’

Eek, we can’t wait!
