Legendary singer passes away after suspected heart attack
Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50.
Paramedics were called to the singer’s Beverly Hills home at about midday yesterday after he stopped breathing.
He was pronounced dead two hours later at the UCLA medical centre.
Michael‘s brother, Jermaine, said he was believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
Captain Steve Ruda confirmed paramedics responded to a call at the star’s home around 12.26pm.
They performed cardiopulmonary resucitation on him, but it is believed he fell into a coma before he arrived at hospital.
Michael‘s sister La Toya was seen running into the building sobbing.
The singer was due to begin a series of comeback concerts at London’s O2 arena on 13 July.
He is survived by children Michael Joseph Jackson Jr,
Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince ‘Blanket’ Michael Jackson II.
