The stars from the Yorkshire Dales whose style has been a little suspect over the years

Despite often being praised for their sense of dress, Emmerdale stars have made some huge fashion faux pas in recent years.

Kim Thomson (Faye Lamb) opts for an unflattering jumpsuit to The British Soap Awards in 2009 on the same evening that Alice Coulthard (Maisie Wylde) causes a stir with her bee-like outfit choice.

Anne Charleston’s (Lily Butterfield) silk creation is uncomplimentary, along with the drab and funny-shaped dress worn by Sally Oliver (Lexi King).

Revealing a little too much, Roxanne Pallett (Jo Stiles) looks garish in blue at The British Soap Awards 2008. Meanwhile, Joe Gilgun (Eli Dingle) looks shabby as he attends the event.

Charlie Hardwick (Val Lambert) shows off too much skin while walking down the purple carpet at The British Soap Awards 2007, as does Verity Rushworth (Donna Windsor-Dingle) – who looks trashy in this cloth-like ensemble.

Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe) looks like a 90s boyband member as he makes his appearance and at the previous year’s event, Kerry Stacey (Toni Daggert) has a dip ‘n’ dye disaster.

Deciding against wearing a dress, Emmerdale actress Julia Mallam (Dawn Woods) chooses a tasteless corset and skirt combo for The British Soap Awards 2006, while Deena Payne and Tony Audenshaw (Bob and Viv Hope) commit numerous fashion crimes with their outfits.

Lorraine Chase (Tricia Stokes) stands tall in an ill-fitting suit as Hayley Tamaddon (Delilah Dingle) bursts out of her harsh-looking dress.

Verity Rushworth (Donna Windsor-Dingle) makes a fashion fluff by teaming her loud rose-printed dress with black tights. Co-star Patsy Kensit (Sadie King) fails to shine in her pastel trouser-suit as she stands with a restrained looking Mathew Bose (Paul Lambert).

There’s too much going on up top in Sherrie Hewson’s (Lesley Meredith) ensemble at The British Soap Awards 2005. Whereas the dress that Adele Silva (Kelly Windsor) is wearing, appears to have some material missing.

At the awards in 2005, Emily Symons (Louise Appleton) makes another style blunder with her lace midi dress. Emmerdale’s long-serving actress Deena Payne (Viv Hope) also disappoints in her cutaway gown.
