The former Loose Women had a chat to Rylan Clark-Neal
Carol McGiffin continues to show that she’s well and truly got her life on track after battling breast cancer.
The TV personality appeared on Rylan Clark-Neal’s new chat show, Up Late With Rylan on Wednesday night, and revealed that while she’s had a trialling couple of years, she’s feeling much better and looking forward to the future.

‘I’m really well!’ she began her chat with presenter Rylan. ‘I do feel like I’ve come out the other side, and I do feel normal at last – and I’m taking it easy to be honest.
‘It’s been a rough two years.’
Carol, 55, was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2014, and is now in remission following six rounds of chemotherapy, 15 rounds of radiotherapy and a mastectomy last Summer. After leaving her 10-year stint as a Loose Women panellist in 2013, she’s been away from the spotlight for a while.
‘I do little bits for you and other people I like, but I’m just having a nice time,’ Carol told Rylan.
‘I think you deserve it,’ Rylan replied – and we definitely agree!
As part of this nice time, Carol’s clearly been enjoying life with fiancé Mark Cassidy. After kicking off the year with a super-glam holiday in Thailand, they’ve also been jet-setting around Europe, hitting both Barcelona and Paris less than a month ago!
But perhaps she’ll be back on screen more permanently sometime soon – when Rylan asked whether there was really a late-night version of Loose Women with all the original gals in mind, she said:
‘We would love to. We’re all really good friends, and we’re all really in touch all the time.
‘We’d love to do something together because we really had something special – and we genuinely liked each other!’
