Chef's sibling gets caught with heroin
Gordon Ramsay’s brother is in a jail in Bali after being caught in possession of heroin.
Although the Indonesian country has the death penalty for such offences, Ronnie, 39, was only found with a small amount of the drug so faces up to 10 years behind bars.
A spokesman for the celebrity chef said: ‘Gordon is incredibly close to his brother and his representatives are flying out to Bali to try and help.’
Gordon, 40, has repeatedly tried to help his brother beat drug addiction, funding several trips to rehab.
Earlier this week the chef spoke of his anguish over Ronnie’s addiction.
‘I feel the pain, I feel it big time,’ he told Waitrose Food Illustrated magazine. ‘It is hard dealing with Ronnie. He is a major responsibility. Ronnie should be halfway there in life, but he has nothing.’
