Check out which celebs have ‘fixed’ their teeth – and who has kept their natural gnashers, including Cheryl

Nothing beats a gorgeous, sparkling, swoon-inducing Hollywood smile – or so they say.

But how far would you go for the perfect grin?

It’s not unusual for our celebs to seek dental surgery in order to ‘fix’ their imperfect teeth. Stars from One Direction’s Niall Horan, to Victoria AND David Beckham have all messed with their mouths to get those dazzling smiles.

But some stars prefer to rock the teeth they were given and refuse to go for a ‘fixing’. And do we blame them? Hell no!

This week, 46-year-old actress Patricia Arquette spoke to People magazine about refusing to undergo dental work. And man, are we inspired.

At a young age, Patricia told her parents she didn’t want to have braces or her teeth straightened as ‘it didn’t feel like it would fit who I was inside.’

‘I didn’t want to look perfect. I didn’t want to have to change myself to be attractive. I didn’t think that was my responsibility…. I’ve had so many conversations in my life… What I look like on film, what I don’t look like on film. What are we supposed to look like?’

Damn right, Patricia!

And she’s not the only star who decided to go against expectations and keep their imperfect teeth. Because, as Patricia would (probably) say: what is perfect anyway?!

Check out our pictures, above, of celebrities who chose to settle with what nature gave them (Patricia Arquette, Madonna, Kirsten Dunst, Lara Stone and Will Ferrell); and those to have taken the leap to ‘fix’ their grins (Niall Horan, Tulisa, Tom Cruise, Cheryl, Victoria and David Beckham and Katie Price).

Ladies and gentlemen, there’s nothing more beautiful than a good old grin – straight or not. Keep smiling, Hollywood!
