The singer's place in the line up was under threat after his behaviour before last weekend's final
The controversial singer, 34 – who came third in this year’s competition – was in trouble with producers after claims he arrived drunk to rehearsals for Sunday night’s live final and called contestant Carolynne Poole a ‘c***’.
Despite these reported antics, it was revealed Christopher would be performing on the tour shortly after he took to Twitter to hit back at trolls who been criticising him.
‘Please stop the online abuse, all I done was follow my dream,’ he posted on the social networking site.
‘Feel gutted I didn’t win and I’m unwell right now. Please.’
It’s good news for Christopher but not for his fellow finalists who had been calling for former contestant Kye Sones, 30, to replace him.
