The actress opened up about her late boyfriend weeks before he died

Lea Michele described boyfriend Cory Monteith as ‘the best person she knew’ in a moving interview shortly before he was found dead in his hotel room a fortnight ago.

The Glee actress, 26, opened up about her on-off relationship with 31-year-old co-star Cory, who passed away from a heroin and alcohol overdose.

‘He has made my life so incredible,’ said Lea.

‘I am so thankful for him and not only to have him as a partner but also as a co-worker.’

Lea is said to have ‘screamed hysterically’ after finding out that Cory had died and despite being ‘completely inconsolable’ helped his mum Ann plan his cremation.

The grieving sopranostarred with Cory in Glee as lovers Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson.

‘We get more attention because we play boyfriend and girlfriend on the show and we are also in real life,’ Lea told Mexico’s Marie Claire.

‘It is important to have someone that supports you and encourages you, someone that makes you feel unstoppable, that you can do anything in the world because you have him.’
