Online report David Beckham had died was all lies
Online hackers yesterday posted an article that David Beckham had died in a car crash while speeding in California.
The sick report claimed the footballer was driving a friend’s car at 95mph on the coast-to-coast Interstate 80 and that he’d been killed instantly in the smash.
‘David Beckham died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell,’ read the report.
‘He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
‘Memorial services for David Beckham have not yet been announced.
‘The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma.’
David Beckham was soon trending on Twitter, with fans wondering if there was any truth in the article, which was posted with the banner headline: ‘This story is still developing…’
But it was rubbished just hours later when Becks, 36, ran on pitch to play for LA Galaxy.
‘David Beckham is trending cause someone said he’s dead. That’s not funny, David is alive. Stupid people spread stupid rumours,’ a fan Tweeted.
