David is delighted about becoming a dad
David Walliams and wife Lara Stone, 28, have announced they’re expecting a baby.
‘We’re both absolutely thrilled but ask you to please respect our privacy during this precious time,’ the couple say in a statement.
David, 41, also Tweeted: ‘Some wonderful news. My beautiful wife Lara is pregnant. We are having a baby! It is due next year and we both couldn’t be happier. Dx.’
The comedian reveals in his autobiography Camp David that childhood ‘gay experiences’ left him feeling confused about his sexual orientation, but openly-gay TV presenter Graham helped him sort out his feelings.
‘Graham said: “Sexuality is more emotional than physical. What matters is whose arms you want around you,”‘ writes David. ‘”A woman’s,” I said. “You’re not gay then,” said Graham. I never worried about it again.’
David and Dutch supermodel Lara married in 2010.
